TechFlow reports, on May 22, according to Decrypt, the UK Court of Appeal has dismissed the main portion of a $13.3 billion (£10 billion) class-action lawsuit filed by Bitcoin SV (BSV) investors against Binance. The court rejected the investors' "loss of chance" theory, which claimed that BSV's value could have reached levels comparable to Bitcoin had it not been delisted by Binance in 2019. Judges ruled the argument overly speculative and legally unfounded, stating that investors bore responsibility for mitigating losses through open market actions. While the primary claims were dismissed, certain minor claims may still proceed, such as cases involving investors who lost access to assets or were forced to sell at low prices due to the delisting.
