TechFlow, May 20 — According to CryptoSlate, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Katherine Reilly as acting inspector general, succeeding Deborah Jeffrey who retired. Reilly previously served as deputy inspector general and chief counsel in the SEC's Office of Inspector General.
The report stated that Reilly is expected to continue audit efforts focusing on fraud detection related to cryptocurrencies, modernization of internal controls, and improvements in cybersecurity, particularly audits concerning agency communication protocols.
