TechFlow, May 20 — According to Bloomberg, on May 20, 2025, crypto lending firm Genesis Global Capital filed a lawsuit against its parent company Digital Currency Group (DCG) and founder Barry Silbert in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, seeking to recover over $1 billion in fund transfers made within the year preceding bankruptcy. The lawsuit alleges that DCG and related insiders conducted substantial transfers while Genesis was already insolvent, including $448 million transferred to DCG and $136 million to DCG International.
