TechFlow news, May 18 — According to Chainwire, on May 14, 2025 at 12:12 Beijing time, Guoxing Aerospace successfully launched 12 satellites aboard a Long March 2D rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, completing the "Space Computing Constellation 021" mission. The satellites have entered their designated orbits as planned, marking the successful deployment of the world's first space computing constellation and ushering in a new era of "space computing."
This mission represents the first launch under Guoxing Aerospace's "StarCompute Initiative" and the initial constellation of the "Trisolaris Computing Constellation" project led by Zhijiang Laboratory. Notably, one of the satellites is named after Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) #7573, symbolizing a milestone moment for Web3 as it extends beyond the digital realm into space-based computing networks.
Once in orbit, these 12 satellites will form a stable constellation through inter-satellite laser communication, distributed computing coordination, and high-speed networking. The system will support on-orbit validation of fundamental capabilities such as decentralized cloud computing, space-based blockchain construction, and distributed AI processing.
