TechFlow news, May 17 — According to Politico, France's Ministry of the Interior announced it will provide enhanced security measures for the country's leading cryptocurrency entrepreneurs and their families. This decision follows at least three abduction incidents targeting crypto industry leaders and their families since the beginning of this year.
Bruno Retailleau, France's Minister of the Interior, stated that the new security measures include priority access to police emergency hotlines, home visits by officers, and security briefings. Meanwhile, law enforcement personnel will receive "anti-crypto asset money laundering training." The cases have now been transferred to France’s organized crime prosecution unit for investigation, and several individuals have already been arrested.
