TechFlow, May 17 — According to CryptoSlate, Paraguayan police recently thwarted a theft at a cryptocurrency mining facility in the town of Coronel Bogado. Law enforcement arrested four suspects of Chinese nationality, three of whom have been deported for illegal entry, while the fourth remains detained after being hospitalized due to serious injuries.
Prosecutor Irene Rolón stated that the suspects attempted to steal servers and computer hardware from the mining site. The investigation revealed that these individuals entered Paraguay illegally via Bolivia and Brazil and had been working at the facility under the guise of programmers. Currently, Paraguayan prosecutors are collaborating with Interpol and immigration authorities to continue tracking down other individuals involved.
