TechFlow, May 15 — According to TheVerge, OpenAI announced on May 15 that its latest flagship AI model, GPT-4.1, is now available to all paid ChatGPT users, including Plus, Pro, and Team account holders, who can access it via the model selection menu. Meanwhile, GPT-4.1 mini has become the default model for all users (including free accounts), replacing the previous GPT-4o mini. OpenAI stated that the new model excels in coding tasks and instruction execution, supporting a context window of up to 1 million tokens, significantly surpassing the previous generation's limit of 128,000 tokens. Enterprise and education users will gain access in the coming weeks, although the smallest variant, GPT-4.1 nano, has not been released in this update.
