TechFlow news, May 15 — According to CryptoSlate, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal has issued a warning about scammers using AI-generated deepfake videos to impersonate him and defraud cryptocurrency startups. It is reported that the scammers first compromised the Telegram account of Shreyansh Singh, head of Polygon Ventures, then invited entrepreneurs to Zoom video meetings under the pretext of investment discussions. During the meetings, the scammers used AI-generated videos to impersonate Nailwal and others, tricking victims into installing malicious software.
