TechFlow news, May 13 — According to Jinshi Data, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said Tuesday that he hopes to hold face-to-face talks with Putin in Istanbul this Thursday on a 30-day unconditional ceasefire, as only he has the authority to implement such a truce. He said: "Everything in Russia depends on Putin, so the only way to ensure a ceasefire and end the war is through direct dialogue with him. If he takes this step and shows he is ready for a ceasefire, it will open the path to discuss all elements for ending the war." Zelenskyy accused Putin of being "afraid" to meet him and said if the negotiations do not take place, he expects the U.S. and EU to impose "harsh sanctions," adding that a failed meeting would indicate Russia is not yet ready for diplomatic talks. Additionally, Zelenskyy said he has invited Trump to attend Thursday's meeting, but Trump has not yet confirmed his attendance.
