TechFlow news, May 12 — According to Bitcoin.com, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are urging individuals who were victimized in the cryptocurrency scam led by AML Bitcoin founder Rowland Marcus Andrade to submit their information by June 5, 2025, for possible compensation.
The FBI's San Francisco field office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California stated that the investigation involves fraud committed by Andrade and his company, National Aten Coin Foundation (also known as NAC Foundation LLC), through false promotion and sale of digital assets including AML Bitcoin, AML Bitcoin token, Black Gold Coin, Aten Coin, and ABTC. The FBI emphasized that victims must complete a brief form, and submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Officials noted that the FBI has a legal obligation to identify victims of federal crimes involved in its investigations, and victims may be eligible for certain services, restitution, and rights. Information submitted during the investigation will be kept confidential, and submitters may be contacted for additional details.
Earlier report, the founder of AML Bitcoin faces up to 30 years in prison on charges of wire fraud and money laundering.
