TechFlow, May 12 — Recently, the Ministry of State Security released three cases involving national security via its official WeChat account. One case revealed that Wang Mou, a salesperson at a medical equipment company, watched videos posted by an overseas anti-China organization and was lured by promises of high investment returns. He voluntarily joined the group and purchased $10,000 worth of cryptocurrency.
It is reported that the anti-China organization raised funds by issuing cryptocurrency and used the proceeds to carry out anti-China activities. The Ministry of State Security warns the public to remain vigilant against risks associated with such cryptocurrency transactions and avoid participating in acts endangering national security for personal gain.
