TechFlow news, May 11 — According to Solana co-founder Toly's post on X, base-layer L1 protocols should be flexible enough to allow applications to conduct business in any way they desire. If applications can differentiate themselves through priority and grow accordingly, they will do so. If an L1 protocol hinders their growth, they will leave the L1. It's that simple. Whether an idea is good or bad doesn't matter. Even preventing applications from trying out bad ideas they believe might help their growth will incentivize them to depart from the L1.
