TechFlow news, May 8 — According to Bitcoin.com, the Central Bank of Bolivia, under the leadership of Governor Edwin Rojas Ulo, is designing a new cryptocurrency called the "virtual boliviano" intended for international settlements.
It is reported that Edwin Rojas Ulo will officially unveil the structured proposal during Bolivia's 200th independence anniversary celebrations on August 6. To ensure robust design, the central bank is collaborating with international institutions and other central banks. Officials stated the "virtual boliviano" could modernize the payment system and help conserve foreign exchange reserves.
