TechFlow, May 8 — According to Jinshi Data, the Bank of England will announce its interest rate decision at 19:02 Beijing time on Thursday, with markets widely expecting a 25-basis-point cut to 4.25%. A Bloomberg survey shows all 32 economists anticipate this rate reduction. Affected by Trump's tariff policies, the central bank may conduct its first comprehensive assessment of the economic impact and could signal further easing in June. Traders expect the Bank of England to cumulatively cut rates by 100 basis points to 3.5% by year-end. If it cuts this time, it will mark the first consecutive rate reductions since 2009.
