TechFlow, May 6 — According to Jinshi Data, the U.S. Commerce Department said Tuesday that the U.S. international trade deficit in goods and services widened by 14% in March to a record $140.5 billion after seasonal adjustment, as businesses rushed to import foreign products ahead of tariffs imposed by the White House.
Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had previously expected the U.S. trade deficit to increase from $127 billion in February to $136 billion.
