TechFlow, May 5 — According to the SEC's official website, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Crypto Task Force announced it will host a roundtable on May 12 titled "Tokenization—Putting Assets on the Blockchain: Where Traditional Finance Meets Decentralized Finance."
Hester M. Peirce, Director of the SEC's Crypto Task Force and Commissioner, stated that tokenization is a technological development that could fundamentally transform many aspects of financial markets.
The event will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM Eastern Time on May 12 at the SEC headquarters in Washington, D.C., open to the public and streamed live on the SEC's official website. Additionally, the SEC announced that the previously scheduled roundtable on "Decentralized Finance and the American Spirit," originally set for June 6, has been rescheduled to June 9.
