TechFlow, May 5 — According to Barron's, during periods of market volatility, Bitcoin has outperformed the stock market. Data shows that Bitcoin has risen over 4% year-to-date, while the S&P 500 index has declined approximately 3% over the same period. Since April 2, Bitcoin has increased by about 12%, whereas the S&P 500 has remained largely flat.
Among major cryptocurrencies, only XRP has similarly outperformed the broader market, rising 6% year-to-date. In contrast, Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano have all seen double-digit percentage declines. As of this morning, Bitcoin was trading at $94,691, down 1.1% in the past 24 hours.
