TechFlow news, May 4 — According to Jinshi Data citing The Information, Apple (AAPL.O) plans to adjust its iPhone launch schedule next year to manage its growing product lineup. The report states that Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series and the "Air" series in autumn 2026. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 18 will be delayed until spring 2027, launching together with the successor to the iPhone 16e. Apple’s current product lineup has already expanded to six iPhone models, and with the addition of a foldable device, the company needs to reorganize its release timeline to ensure more efficient product management and marketing. The report notes that Apple’s first foldable iPhone will adopt a book-style folding mechanism rather than a clamshell design. The device will have a 5.7-inch screen when folded and nearly an 8-inch display when unfolded.
