TechFlow, April 30 — Walrus, a blockchain storage protocol built on Sui, announced a partnership with the renowned NFT project Pudgy Penguins to gradually migrate digital assets, including stickers and GIFs, onto the Walrus network.
Previously, Pudgy Penguins faced challenges with long-term asset accessibility and consistency across multiple teams when using centralized storage solutions. With Walrus, Pudgy Penguins will now benefit from a decentralized storage solution offering permanent storage, controllable permissions, and programmability.
During the "Inside the Igloo" event at Token2049 in Dubai, both parties revealed that the initial phase of collaboration will deploy 1 TB of storage capacity via Tusky, a platform within the Walrus ecosystem. Tusky delivers three core values: no technical barriers, asset traceability, and composable applications. Over the next 12 months, the partnership aims to scale up to 6 TB of storage.
Walrus is a next-generation storage protocol designed for AI agents, on-chain applications, and enterprises managing large-scale unstructured data. Whether images, videos, audio files, or dynamic metadata, Walrus enables efficient, secure, and cost-effective storage through its distributed node network.
