TechFlow news, April 29 — According to The Block, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase stated that 15% of its Bitcoin trading volume is now processed via the Lightning Network.
The report noted that the exchange integrated the Lightning Network in April 2024. Coinbase Product Director Michael Rihani said that integrating the Lightning Network marks a significant milestone in supporting the Bitcoin ecosystem, making payments faster, cheaper, and more useful for everyone. "Having 15% of our Bitcoin transactions using Lightning technology within a year demonstrates its real-world utility. We're rapidly proving, through Lightspark, that Bitcoin is a powerful tool for global payments."
