TechFlow news, April 25 — According to Oriental Daily, a man in Hong Kong recently fell victim to a scam when exchanging HK$1 million for the virtual currency USDT at an unlicensed over-the-counter (OTC) shop in Kwun Tong. The shop took his cash but failed to transfer the funds. Legislator Junius Wu pointed out that there are more than 200 unlicensed cryptocurrency exchange shops in Hong Kong, urging the public not to conduct transactions at unlicensed outlets and calling on the government to strengthen regulation.
