TechFlow news, April 25 — According to an official post, OpenAI announced the launch of a lightweight version of its deep research feature, powered by the o4-mini model, aimed at expanding user access. Plus, Team, and Pro users now have expanded usage rights, while free users are gradually gaining access to the lightweight version. Enterprise and education users will receive the same access rights as Team users next week. OpenAI stated that although the lightweight version produces shorter responses, it maintains the original's depth and intelligence while significantly reducing service costs.
