TechFlow, April 24 — Tigran Akhunts, Head of P2P Business for Huobi HTX's CIS region, was invited to speak at the Blockchain Forum 2025 roundtable panel titled "DEX vs CEX: Who Will Win the Traders' Battle?" At the event, he pointed out that CEXs hold clear advantages in user experience, security, and meeting diverse trading needs. While DEXs excel in decentralization, they face limitations such as high gas fees, slow transaction speeds, and fragmented liquidity. He believes that CEXs and DEXs are not engaged in a zero-sum game, but rather coexist by serving different user demands.
Tigran Akhunts also noted that at this stage, CEXs are narrowing the ideological gap with DEXs by integrating DeFi features, adopting proof-of-reserves, and implementing third-party audits to enhance platform transparency. Furthermore, CEXs continue innovating in areas such as AI-powered trading tools, cross-chain support, and fee optimization to improve overall trading experience and solidify their core position among mainstream traders.
