TechFlow news, April 24 — According to AXIOS, citing sources familiar with the matter, Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and Treasury Secretary Benston engaged in a heated argument over IRS personnel appointments last Thursday in a hallway of the West Wing of the White House. The commotion was so intense that President Trump and other officials present turned to look. "Two billionaire middle-aged men turned the West Wing corridor into a WWE wrestling ring," said one witness. "They didn't come to blows inside the Oval Office, but the president saw the confrontation firsthand. Then they continued their dispute in the hallway, erupting into another fierce argument," said another witness. During a meeting at the White House last Thursday, Benston and Musk faced off, after which one source said "F-bombs started flying." Benston criticized Musk for overpromising DOGE budget cuts without delivering. Musk fired back, calling Benston a "Soros operative" and accusing him of running "a failed hedge fund." Reports indicate the two became so confrontational that they were once chest-to-chest, ultimately requiring an aide to intervene and separate them.
