The White House has stated it is "paving the way for a deal with China," and Treasury Secretary Bessent expects the U.S.-China trade war to "cool down." The Trump administration has received trade negotiation proposals from 18 countries and said it will take further actions if no agreements are reached after the 90-day pause period.
