TechFlow news, April 21 — According to an official announcement from 0G Labs, the project is about to launch its new V3 (Galileo) testnet and plans to deprecate the current V2 (Newton) testnet upon V3's release. V3 will adopt a completely new architectural design, delivering significant performance improvements.
As part of the transition plan, the team will perform a final snapshot of the V2 testnet at block height 4,084,400 and will cease operations of the standard network, retaining only the Turbo network to simplify the network structure. Notably, V3 will be an entirely new blockchain and will not migrate any data, tokens, or smart contract states from V2.
Previous report, in November 2024, 0G Labs announced it had raised $40 million in a seed funding round led by Animoca Brands and others.
