TechFlow news, April 20 — Uniswap founder Hayden Adams recently expressed concerns on X about the confusion surrounding Ethereum's current scaling strategy. Adams emphasized that Ethereum has spent over five years developing a Layer 2-based horizontal scaling roadmap and should not waver at the "final stretch."
He criticized conflicting voices within the community that on one hand claim to follow the "rollup-centric roadmap," while simultaneously insisting that "critical functionalities must remain on L1." Adams stated, "I support scaling improvements on L1—the rollup-centric roadmap actually requires these enhancements," but opposes frequent shifts in strategic direction.
Adams called for the community to "choose a path and focus on reducing its associated risks," rather than "changing narratives and strategies every month." He also clearly opposed the approach of "trying every possible method," arguing it is worse than choosing none at all.
