TechFlow, April 19 — According to Hong Kong Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), fake news reports have recently surfaced online, claiming that Li Ka-shing shared cryptocurrency investment insights during a TVB news program. The fraudulent article mimicked the layout of a local English-language media website, asserting that investing HK$2,000 through a specific cryptocurrency platform could yield millions in returns within four months.
The report also fabricated a scenario in which the Hong Kong Monetary Authority intervened and blocked the related content. TVB has reported the scam to the police and urges the public to remain vigilant and carefully verify information from unverified sources.
