TechFlow news, April 15 — According to The Verge, multiple insiders revealed that OpenAI is building a social network similar to X. Although the project is still in early stages, there is already an internal prototype focused on ChatGPT image generation with social feed functionality. Sources said CEO Altman has been privately soliciting feedback about the project from external parties. It remains unclear whether OpenAI plans to launch the social network as a standalone app or integrate it into ChatGPT, which became the world's most downloaded app last month. A social app would provide OpenAI with proprietary real-time data—something X and Meta already possess and use to train their AI models.
