TechFlow news, on April 14, according to Dahe Look, the Economic Development Zone People's Court of Heze City, Shandong Province recently tried a cross-border cryptocurrency fraud case targeting Indian citizens.
The criminal gang lured 66,800 Indian victims into investing through a fake investment platform called SENEE, involving a total amount of 517 million Indian rupees (approximately over 40 million RMB). The suspects laundered the illicit funds by converting them into USDT, then exchanged them into Chinese yuan or US dollars for profit. The court sentenced nine defendants to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from five years to fourteen years and nine months, and imposed fines.
