TechFlow, April 14 — Xie Jiayin, Head of Bitget's Chinese-speaking market, stated that Bitget Exchange has never directed contract trial funds to students through any channel to encourage trading. The campus ambassador program primarily focused on promoting blockchain technology and Web3 knowledge, similar to other industry peers' campus programs. While the program involved commission rebates, it never encouraged futures trading or distributed contract trial funds. After launch, Bitget noticed some users misunderstood the promotion of commission rebates to university students. The program was swiftly discontinued on February 19, and all applications during its operation were politely rejected.
Bitget's current collaborations with universities are limited to Web3 industry education, career guidance, and internship opportunities, including the 2025 campus recruitment plan which successfully hired 28 university students. Xie Jiayin added that Bitget will launch a "Green Campus Initiative" to help students better understand the Web3 industry through various channels, offering rewards of up to 1,000 USDT for effective reporting of violations.
