The Trump administration is considering halving NASA's science budget for fiscal year 2026. This science budget, primarily used for telescope development and other areas, is expected to be reduced from the current $7.3 billion to $3.9 billion. Musk described the move as "worrisome," voicing his discontent. This marks the second time recently that Musk has publicly challenged the Trump administration. Previously, Musk had engaged in disputes over tariff policies with presidential advisors.
