TechFlow, April 10 — According to Fortune, cryptocurrency insurance provider Meanwhile has raised $40 million in a Series A funding round led by Framework Ventures and Fulgur Ventures, with participation from Wences Casares, founder of crypto bank Xapo.
Meanwhile offers life insurance services where premiums and payouts are made in bitcoin. Policyholders pay monthly premiums using cryptocurrency wallets, and beneficiaries receive payouts denominated in bitcoin when an insured event occurs. Zac Townsend, co-founder and CEO of Meanwhile, said the company will use the funds to expand globally and strengthen its compliance infrastructure.
