TechFlow, April 9 — According to Jinshi Data, EU countries are expected to approve the bloc's first round of retaliatory measures against Trump's tariffs on Wednesday, joining the reprisal actions taken by Canada and several other nations. On the same day, Trump's reciprocal tariffs on the EU and dozens of other countries took effect, further widening the tariff impact and triggering broader sell-offs in financial markets. On Monday, the European Commission proposed imposing an additional 25% tariff on a range of U.S. imports specifically in response to America's metal tariffs. The EU is still assessing how to respond to automobile tariffs and broader tax measures.
