TechFlow news, April 7 — According to Jinshi Data, Taiwan's weighted index closed down 2,065.87 points, or 9.7%, at 19,232.35 on Monday, marking the largest single-day decline in history and triggering a circuit breaker during the session. The previous record for steepest percentage drop was 8.57% on August 5, 2024, when the index also set its prior record for maximum point loss, plunging 1,854.59 points intraday.
