TechFlow news, according to China News Service, on April 2, 2025, the U.S. government announced imposing "reciprocal tariffs" on Chinese goods exported to the United States. This move by the U.S. side violates international trade rules, seriously undermines China's legitimate rights and interests, and constitutes a typical example of unilateral bullying. It not only harms U.S. interests but also jeopardizes global economic development and the stability of industrial and supply chains.
In accordance with laws and regulations such as the Tariff Law of the People's Republic of China, the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, as well as the basic principles of international law, and upon approval by the State Council, the Tariff Commission of the State Council has issued an announcement that, starting from 00:01 (Beijing time) on April 10, 2025, a 34% additional tariff will be imposed on all imported goods originating from the United States. Goods shipped from the place of origin before 00:01 (Beijing time) on April 10, 2025, and imported between 00:01 (Beijing time) on April 10, 2025, and 24:00 on May 13, 2025, shall not be subject to the additional tariff imposed under this measure.
China urges the U.S. side to immediately revoke its unilateral tariff measures and resolve trade differences through consultations based on equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit.
