TechFlow reports that on March 25, DeFi lending platform Abracadabra.money (@MIM_Spell) announced its gmCauldrons product had been hacked. The protocol has temporarily suspended borrowing functionality across all cauldrons and is currently investigating the incident together with Guardian Audits, GMX, and other security partners.
Despite undergoing a comprehensive audit by Guardian Audits prior to launch and implementing multiple security measures—including Zeroshadow monitoring and Hexagate response software—attackers successfully executed several transactions.
Abracadabra emphasized that this attack affected only gmCauldrons and that user collateral remains safe. The team has expressed willingness to communicate with the hacker and offer a bounty of 20% of the stolen funds.
Previous report: Smart contracts related to GMX and Abracadabra were compromised, resulting in the theft of approximately 6,260 ETH, valued at $13 million.
