TechFlow news, on March 21, EDA Group Holdings Limited (2505.HK) issued a voluntary announcement disclosing its plan to purchase up to $5 million worth of cryptocurrencies. The company has entered into a trust agreement with OKLink Trust Company Limited, appointing it as the virtual asset custodian.
EDA Group stated that this investment is a key component of its strategic development in artificial intelligence and blockchain businesses, aiming to build a "chain-based warehouse network" ecosystem to advance full-chain cross-border product traceability, cryptocurrency B2B settlements, and logistics data assetization. The company will establish a dedicated department to manage virtual asset operations and conduct risk control.
The board believes that artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies have the potential to disrupt the cross-border e-commerce logistics industry, while investing in cryptocurrencies can also diversify financial management risks and address potential depreciation risks of cash assets.
