TechFlow reports, on March 20, on-chain investigator ZachXBT released an investigative report exposing suspicious activities linked to the "Hyperliquid 50x leverage whale" address 0xf3f. ZachXBT summarized: "In January 2025, an individual previously accused of multiple crimes exploited vulnerabilities in casino games and targeted phishing victims, then used high-leverage on-chain trading to turn a six-figure sum into $20 million."
ZachXBT's investigation reveals that the wallet cluster controlled by 0xf3f is connected to accounts across multiple platforms including Roobet, Binance, and Gamdom. This address attracted significant attention in March due to two major transactions: one involved taking 50x long positions on ETH and BTC shortly before Trump announced his cryptocurrency reserve plan, generating $10 million in profits; the other involved a 40x short position on BTC, yielding $9 million in gains. These funds are currently held primarily in the address 0x51d...9921.
Even more suspiciously, in January 2025, one of 0xf3f’s public addresses was set as the receiving address for the phishing website projection[.]fi, receiving approximately $171,000 in inflows.
ZachXBT links these activities to an individual named William Parker (formerly known as Alistair Packover). Reports indicate that Parker was sentenced in Finland last year for stealing around $1 million from two casinos. In the early 2010s, he made headlines in the UK multiple times due to fraud charges related to hacking and gambling.
