TechFlow News, March 18 — According to Invest360, China Pacific Insurance Investment Management (Hong Kong) Limited has launched a tokenized U.S. dollar money market fund called "CPIC Estable MMF." The fund is a tokenized private U.S. dollar money market fund established under the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)-regulated Open-ended Fund Company (OFC) framework in Hong Kong, with its product tokenized on a public blockchain. The subscription amount reached USD 100 million on its first day.
China Pacific Insurance Investment Management (Hong Kong) Limited acts as the fund's sponsor and manager, thePAC serves as the token issuance platform, while Standard Chartered Bank provides custody, registrar, and fund administration services. The fund will invest in short-term U.S. dollar-denominated deposits and high-quality money market instruments and is available exclusively to professional investors.
The CEO of CPIC Asset Management Hong Kong stated that the launch of this tokenized U.S. dollar money market fund marks a milestone in the company's efforts to integrate traditional finance with blockchain technology. The firm plans to leverage real-world asset (RWA) technology to tokenize more traditional assets in the future.
