TechFlow news, on March 19, according to Decrypt, Carl Rinsch, director of the film "47 Ronin," was arrested on suspicion of misappropriating $11 million from Netflix and is charged with wire fraud and money laundering. Prosecutors allege that in 2020, Rinsch requested additional funds from Netflix to complete the sci-fi series "White Horse," but instead transferred the money into his personal accounts for investment trading.
According to the indictment, by the end of April 2020, Rinsch had already lost more than half of the funds through "highly speculative options and cryptocurrency trading." Reports indicate that if convicted on all charges, Rinsch could face up to 90 years in prison.
