TechFlow reported on March 18 that, according to China Fund News, HashKey Capital has officially obtained Type 1 license issued by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), further expanding its business scope and capabilities under SFC regulation.
Previously, HashKey Capital held Type 9 and Type 4 licenses, enabling it to offer asset management products and investment advisory services. With the acquisition of the Type 1 license, HashKey Capital will now be able to provide introducing broker services to retail and professional investors, as well as distribute various funds and structured products, including virtual asset-related funds and products.
The newly added services are mainly divided into three categories: market access, investment funds, and structured products. Vivien Wong, Partner at HashKey Capital, said this will enable the company to offer a broader range of investment options for investors with different risk appetites, further promoting the adoption of virtual assets in Hong Kong.
