TechFlow news, March 18 — According to Cointelegraph, Microsoft has discovered a new remote access trojan (RAT) named StilachiRAT, which can steal data from 20 cryptocurrency wallet extensions stored in the Google Chrome browser.
The malware is capable of stealing credentials, digital wallet information stored in browsers, and clipboard data. It also features anti-detection and anti-forensics capabilities.
Microsoft said it first identified the malware in November last year. Currently, the malware has not spread widely. Users are advised to install antivirus software along with cloud-based phishing protection and anti-malware components to avoid infection.
