TechFlow news — On March 16, Stani, co-founder of Aave, stated on X that the general consensus within the Aave DAO is disinterest in other tokens. This consensus will be respected, and Aave DAO remains a true DAO. Exploration into RWA will continue once the right approach is found; currently, only AAVE exists.
Previously, Aave Labs announced the launch of its RWA product Horizon, hinting at a potential Horizon token. Part of Horizon's profits would be allocated to Aave DAO, and if a token were issued, 15% would go to Aave DAO. This move has drawn community skepticism, with concerns that a new token and brand could drain value from Aave.
