TechFlow reports, on March 15, according to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini organized a record-breaking drone display in Austin, Texas, deploying 1,000 drones to form the Bitcoin logo in the sky, setting a Guinness World Record for the largest aerial display of a currency symbol.
The event, held on March 13, aimed to celebrate the "American Strategic Bitcoin Reserve" initiative. The drone show featured scenes such as rocket launches and moon landings, followed by the text "Go where the dollar can't" after the Bitcoin logo.
The Bitcoin logo has undergone several evolutions since its inception. The original emblem created by Satoshi Nakamoto was a gold coin with "BC" inscribed at the center. In February 2010, Satoshi replaced "BC" with "₿". Later in November of the same year, a redesigned version proposed by community member bitboy gained widespread support and became the official logo still used today, characterized by changing the golden background to bright orange and rotating the "₿" symbol 14% clockwise.
