TechFlow reports, citing Fox News journalist Eleanor Terrett, that U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty's stablecoin bill, the GENIUS ACT, has released an updated version. Compared to the February version, the new bill expands the section on "reciprocity for payment stablecoins issued in overseas jurisdictions."
The revised provisions add requirements regarding "reserve requirements, regulation, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism features, sanctions compliance standards, liquidity requirements, and risk management standards," aiming to facilitate international transactions and enable interoperability with overseas-issued dollar-denominated payment stablecoins.
