TechFlow news, on March 7, according to an official announcement, Binance has added a watchlist tag for the GoPlus Security (GPS) token. This decision stems from the token's significant price decline following its spot listing, as well as abnormal market activities by a market maker.
The announcement revealed that the market maker sold approximately 70 million GPS tokens between March 4 and 5 without placing any buy orders during this period. As the largest beneficiary, the market maker earned around 5 million USDT in profits. Binance has temporarily frozen the market maker's account and is conducting an in-depth investigation.
Binance提醒 users that tokens with a watchlist tag may carry higher volatility and risks, no longer meet the platform’s listing criteria, and could be subject to delisting. Users must pass a risk assessment test every 90 days and accept the terms of use to maintain trading privileges for such tokens.
