Without being prompted, Donalds stated: "Digital assets have found a home in Miami-Dade County. We want to build on this framework. For our state's investment portfolio, I would like to see Bitcoin included as part of Florida's treasury investments."
Donalds emphasized that Bitcoin has proven to be an excellent store of value and wealth, and incorporating it into the state's balance sheet would help prepare for potential future economic storms. He also said: "Florida will become a global financial center—not just America's, but the world's financial center."
