TechFlow news, on March 3, according to the Wall Street Journal, sources revealed that under a plan expected to be announced by U.S. President Trump later on Monday local time, TSMC (TSM.N) plans to invest $100 billion in the United States over the next four years to build chip manufacturing plants. Since then, the company’s ambitions for this site have rapidly grown, adding two more factories at the same location, bringing the total investment to $65 billion. The company’s first factory began mass production at the end of last year.
Subsequently, White House officials confirmed that U.S. President Trump and semiconductor manufacturer TSMC (TSM.N) will make an announcement at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time (2:30 a.m. Beijing time tomorrow), expected to reveal TSMC’s $100 billion investment in the United States.
