TechFlow reported on March 2 that Suji Yan, founder of Mask Network, sent an on-chain message to the hacker, stating that their identity has been confirmed and demanding the return of stolen funds within 72 hours.
The message reads: "International cooperation among the FBI, Hong Kong police, Interpol, and private security teams has confirmed your identity and is now actively pursuing you, the criminal. Your personal information has been fully obtained, and evidence of your actions is already in our possession and that of our law enforcement partners.
You have 72 hours to return the stolen funds; otherwise, the situation will spiral beyond your control.
If you cooperate within this timeframe, we are willing to offer a substantial reward as part of a resolution. Please contact us via email and return the funds to the designated wallet address. Upon repayment, we will cease all tracking activities, destroy all collected data, and close the case.
If you fail to act, we will escalate enforcement measures, blacklist your addresses globally, and ensure that you and any accomplices face full legal consequences.
This is your only chance to walk away unscathed. Time is running out."
Earlier report: The founder of Mask Network was hacked, with nearly $4 million worth of digital assets possibly stolen.
